"Here's Your Future" The Thermals 2006

In this leadoff track to the Portland punk's best-of-the-2000s concept album The Body, the Blood, the Machine, The Thermals take the Bush administration to its theological conclusion. The album imagines a near-future America turned into a fundamentalist dystopia and, amidst much biblical (and Nazi) imagery, it doesn't imagine it ending well: "God said here's your future/It's going to rain."
