Eminem and Elton John's Grammy Duet
Eminem came to the fore for his vivid, violent and sometimes-homophobic lyrics. The rapper attempted to put this to rest when he appeared with the openly gay Elton John at the 2001 Grammy Awards to perform his hit single "Stan." His lyrical content hasn't changed much, but he got some credit for having an acute societal awareness.
