Doug E. Fresh

In an interview with Essence magazine -- and reported by Allhiphop.com -- rapper Doug E. Fresh confirmed he was the first hip-hop artist to acknowledge being a Scientologist. "I found it fascinating," he said. "It changed how I thought." Fresh also said that the religion "is not written with disrespect" toward God. "It doesn't worship something that is evil," he said. "It is scientific, mathematical and spiritual."
