A duet with Tony Bennett is something you'd expect in a network TV holiday special. Lady Gaga is not.
Yet, Gaga -- in the tradition of Sonny and Cher, the Osmonds and Perry Como -- aired her ABC holiday special on Thanksgiving 2011. On the show, she sang several of her hits, plus Irving Berlin's "White Christmas."
The special featured an interview by Katie Couric at the pop star's alma mater, New York's Sacred Heart Catholic High School. The nearly six million viewers who tuned in also saw Gaga cook deep-fried turkey and make holiday-themed crafts with children.
