Henry Diltz
The Doors' poet-provocateur Jim Morrison got arrested on stage at at concert in New Haven, Connecticut. Before the show Morrison was backstage making out with a girl when a police officer, not recognizing him, told him to leave the area. Morrison then told the officer to "eat it."
His response was to mace the singer.
When Morrison got on stage later he began to talk about the incident, inflaming the crowd. The cops didn't like that, jumped on stage and arrested him, then charged him with inciting a riot, indecency and public obscenity.
The charges ended up getting dropped.
