"A Concert for Life," the tribute to Queen's Freddie Mercury and AIDS awareness benefit attracted 72,000 people to Wembley Stadium to watch the likes of The Who's Roger Daltrey, Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi, David Bowie, Metallica's James Hetfield, George Michael, Elton John, Seal, Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant, Guns N' Roses' Axl Rose and Slash. It was broadcast to 76 countries, reaching an audience of one billion people and mainstreaming the fight against AIDS.
