May 4, 1970: Four Dead in Ohio

The National Guard opened fire on students protesting the Vietnam War at a campus of Kent University, killing four and wounding 11. Neil Young wrote the song "Ohio" about the incident and then released the protest anthem with Crosby Stills Nash & Young.
