Proof, the D12 member, 8 Mile actor (he was Lil Tic) and childhood friend of Eminem's was shot dead by Mario Etheridge in a Detroit nightclub on 8 Mile Road during an altercation over a game of pool. Eminem subsequently recorded two songs about Proof on his comeback album Recovery, Going Through Changes" and "You're Never Over."
