Laura Branigan, the singer responsible for worldwide hits "Gloria" and "Self-Control," died of a brain aneurysm.
The 26th isn't all bad, though. On this day in 1966 Garbage's Shirley Manson was born. And on the same day in 1967 Wilco's Jeff Tweedy came into the world.
