Bedroom poets rejoice! It was on this day in 1976 that floppy-haired emo singer Ben Gibbard of Death Cab For Cutie was born in Bremerton, Washington.
There was a short period between September 2009 and December 2011, when Gibbard was married to the world's favorite bicycle handlebar ribbon, Zooey Deschanel, in which the pair were the undisputed king and queen of the indie world. Then they got divorced.
