August 6, 1973: Stevie Wonder Car Accident Leaves Him In Coma

On this day in 1973 Stevie Wonder was in a serious car accident near Winston-Salem, North Carolina that left him in a coma for four days. The accident also left him partial loss of his sense of smell and a temporary loss of sense of taste.
And, no, for those of you with awful senses of humor, he wasn't driving.
