August 10, 1959: The Platters Arrested For Fooling Around With White Women

Four members of the hit R&B group The Platters were arrested after a show in Cincinnati for having sexual relations with minors - "minors" being four 19 year old women, three of whom were white. The scandalized and still institutionally racist radio stations at the time responded by temporarily removing all Platters records from their playlists.
