While U.S. politicians were busy branding John Lennon a subversive, Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau was welcoming Lennon and Yoko Ono to meet with him, the first world leader to do so. Trudeau and Minister of Health John Munro met with Lennon to talk about drug abuse. And, presumably, to score some of that high-quality rock star reefer.
