December 21, 2005: Elton John and David Furnish Get Married

Elton John and his partner David Furnish took the bold step of marrying in a civil ceremony on the first day gay marriages were legally allowed in Britain.

The ceremony which took place at Windsor Guildhall was apparently a surprisingly modest one and included guests like George Michael, Sharon Stone and Ozzy Osbourne. John would make up for it with a massive party later at his estate which cost a rumored million British pounds.
