December 2, 2011: Country Kidnapping With Mindy McCready

After a nationwide manhunt Arkansas police found troubled country singer Mindy McCready hiding in in a closet with her five-year-old son, Zander. The singer had been in a heated custody battle with her mother Gayle Inge over her son with ex-boyfriend Billy McKnight. McCready had lost custody of her son in 2007 while in jail for a drug charge. Police didn't charge McCready, but Zander remained with his foster parents.
Meanwhile, in 1969, Cindy Birdsong of The Supremes was kidnapped in her home at knife-point and forced into a car -- which she escaped by jumping out out. Charles Collier, who was a maintenance man in Birdsong's building turned himself into police four days later, confessing to the crime
