December 7, 1956: The Rock 'n' Roll Movie is Born

Rock, Rock, Rock, the first-ever rock 'n' roll movie, made its debut. The movie, which revolves around a plot where actress Tuesday Weld wants to buy a prom dress, featured the likes of radio DJ Alan Freed, Chuck Berry, Connie Francis and Frankie Lymon & the Teenagers.
Also, on this day in 1949 Tom Waits was born.
