December 3, 1979: The Who's Cincinnati Concert Causes Deaths

A rush for unreserved seats at The Who's concert in Cincinnati's Riverfront Coliseum resulted in 11 people being trampled to death and dozens more being injured.
Television sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati turned the tragedy into a plotpoint for an episode where the fictional radio station was promoting the show and the staff experienced tremendous guilt for their connection to it.
