J Dilla, the influential producer for the likes of Busta Rhymes, A Tribe Called Quest and Common, died at age 32 due to a heart attack brought on by blood disease Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura. In his hometown of Detroit artists have taken to celebrating annual "Dilla Days" in February.
Also on this day, in 2011 the world first experienced Rebecca Black's song, "Friday." The unlikely viral hit video has scored almost 50 million views on YouTube.
