Game-changing R&B singer Whitney Houston was found dead in a bathtub at age 48, the result of an accidental drowning. Coroners cited the "effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use" contributed to her death. Toxicology reports also revealed drugs Benadryl, Xanax, marijuana and Flexeril in her system.
Also on this date in 1964 the Beatles played their first U.S. concert at the Washington Coliseum, in Washington, DC, thereby officially beginning the first British invasion.
