March 1, 1969 & 1991: The Doors Get Exposure

In what's one of the most infamous incidents in the checkered history of the Doors, lead singer Jim Morrison is arrested on stage in Miami for allegedly pulling out his penis. Doors drummer John Densmore says Morrison, who regularly ran afoul of the law for his provocative performances, did no such thing. Conspiracy minded folks instead believe the Lizard King was charged because he was trying to incite a riot.
Unsurprisingly, conspiracy-minded director Oliver Stone appreciated such behavior and put out the biopic "The Doors" starring Val Kilmer on this same day in 1991.
