John Minihan, Hulton Archive
Rolling Stones badboy Keith Richards was pinched for heroin possession in Toronto when 15 Royal Canadian Mounted Police raided his room at the Harbour Castle Hotel. Richards was charged with possession with intent to traffic and faced seven years to life in prison.
Richards would plead guilty to the possession charges and then perform two shows on behalf of the Canadian National Institute for the Blind as part of his probation agreement.
