Apple Computers settles a lengthy legal fight with the Beatles' Apple Records over the computer company's legal right to sell music under the Apple name. Reportedly, Apple, the computer company, paid Apple, the record company, $500 million for the trademark to the name. The Beatles, who had held out from putting their music on the related iTunes service would eventually allow their music for sale online after the settlement.
