Former Beatles member George Harrison releases his single "My Sweet Lord" in the U.K., which goes to number one on the charts.
Harrison does, however, run into trouble with the multi-denominational hymn, as he was sued because of the song's similarities to "He's So Fine." The resulting litigation -- filled with backstabbing and intrigue in part courtesy of Harrison's ex-manager Allen Klein -- ended up being a courtroom tale that lasted until 1998.
