January 20, 1982: Ozzy Bites the Head Off a Bat

No, it's not an urban myth. At a show in Des Moines, Iowa someone threw a bat onstage, which metal singer Ozzy Osbourne picked up, then promptly bit the head off of. He then promptly went to the hospital after the show to get rabies shots.
The singer's excuse was two-fold: 1) He didn't know it was a real bat, and 2) He was really intoxicated at the time.
