It seemed so long ago, but it's only been two years since the White Stripes officially announced they were breaking up. Jack White has since gone on to be everywhere, doing everything, at all times, with everyone. Meg White, not so much.
Also, on this date in 1979 Sex Pistols' Sid Vicious dide of a heroin overdose. It was also on this date in 2003 when Phil Spector was charged with the murder of Lana Clarkson (10 years ago!).
