The tombstone for Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis -- which had the inscriptions "Ian Curtis 18 - 5 - 80" and the words "Love Will Tear Us Apart" on it -- was stolen from the Macclesfield Cemetery in England.
Band members were shocked by the incident, with drummer Stephen Morris quoted as saying, "I just don't understand why anyone would do it. You couldn't sell it on eBay -- it's ridiculous and very upsetting. I'm speechless. It really is not a very nice thing at all."
