Live Earth, a series of concerts organized by former US Vice-President Al Gore to raise environmental awareness, took place in Washington, Rio de Janeiro, Johannesburg, London, Hamburg, Tokyo, Shanghai and Sydney.
Bands like The Police, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Genesis, Beastie Boys, James Blunt, Foo Fighters, Duran Duran and Snoop Dogg all performed.
And then the world was saved.
