July 17, 1972: Montrealers Try to Blow Up the Rolling Stones

Back when the Rolling Stones were legitimately the most dangerous band on earth they used to make just as many enemies as friends. And some of those enemies, specifically the ones in Montreal, actually bombed one of the Stones' equipment trucks before a show, destroying 30 speakers.
The bombers were never caught and popular rumors about who was responsible include the separatist organization the Quebec Liberation Front and the Hell's Angels motorcycle gang.
