Rick James, the funk legend known for lurid party hits "Super Freak" and "Give it to Me Baby," was arrested in Los Angeles, CA, and charged with the sexual torture of a 24-year-old woman. James, who was addicted to cocaine at the time, was accused of kidnapping the woman, forcing her to perform sex acts, and burning her with the hot end of a crack pipe.
James was found guilty and served two years in Folsom Prison.
