June 23, 2009: Chris Brown Pleads Guilty to Assaulting Rihanna

Upstanding citizen, street team inspiration, and excellent spin-controller Chris Brown pleaded guilty to one count of assault on his former girlfriend, Rihanna. The R&B singer was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to do six months community service. Brown's attack on Rihanna forced the pair to skip the Grammy Awards in February 2009.
