May 31 tends to be an eventful day for British musicians. It was this day in '76 when The Who made the Guinness Book of World Records for being the loudest rock band -- and you wonder why Pete Townshend is deaf. A year later the BBC banned the Sex Pistols' "God Save the Queen," which basically launched their career. Then, in 1998, Ginger Spice -- Geri Halliwell -- officially left the Spice Girls. Nooooooo! Or, whatever.
