May 12, 2008: Neil Young Has a Spider Named After Him

Jason Bond, a biologist at East Carolina University, discovered a new kind of spider while researching in Alabama. Perhaps it was the weight on his shoulders that caused him to do it, but Bond named the spider Myrmekiaphila neilyoungi -- the Neil Young spider -- after his favourite hippie grunge rocker.
