Tina Turner, the woman Beyonce Knowles spends every waking moment devising new and elaborate ways to imitate, was born in Nutbush, Tennessee.
After getting out of an abusive relationship with Ike Turner (note to Rihanna), she went on to score super-hits like "Private Dancer," "What's Love Got to Do With It?" and "The Best."
She also appeared in the Mel Gibson movie Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome which was, and still is, amazing.
