November 9, 1998: Rick James Suffers Stroke From Head Banging

Super-freaky funk rock legend Rick James super-suffered after he had a stroke in Denver, Colorado.
James' spokesperson later attributed the stroke to a blood vessel rupturing in his neck due to too much headbanging onstage -- "the repeated rhythmic whiplash motion of the head and neck."
