November 6, 1975: Sex Pistols Cause the Creation of Adam Ant
Hulton Archive
On this date the Sex Pistols played their first ever gig at St. Martin's School of Art in London, England. That night the Pistols were opening up for a band called Bazooka Joe, whose lead singer Stuart Goddard was incredibly inspired by them.
Goddard dropped out of art school, found some makeup, some crazy outfits and then became... Adam Ant. As Adam Ant he went on to have three number one hits in the U.K.
