October 25, 1968: Jimi Hendrix Experience Release 'Electric Ladyland'
Reprise
Jimi Hendrix released his third and last proper album, Electric Ladyland. The double album would hit number one on the Billboard charts and featured songs like his Bob Dylan cover "All Along the Watchtower," "Crosstown Traffic" and "Voodoo Chile."
Scandalously, the album sleeve also features photos of naked ladies. Apparently the models were all offered double the pay if they posed without their clothes.
