Musical satirist, accordion player, bright shirt wearer and the most awesome person in the lives of average 10 year old boys Weird Al Yankovic was born on this day in Downey, California.
Some of his hit songs over the years have included "Eat It," a send up of Michael Jackson's "Beat It," "Amish Paradise," a more beard-y and suspendered take on Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise," and "Like a Surgeon," a medically-inclined rework of Madonna's "Like a Virgin."
