In a scenario that roughly duplicates the plot of HBO show Carnivale, where a sinister priest and a supernatural carnival worker slowly come together in an eternal struggle of good vs. evil, two marquee British music figures were born this day.
In 1959 Simon Cowell entered the world and then gave us reality television products like Popstars, Pop Idol and American Idol.
Meanwhile, Thom Yorke was born the same day in 1968. He's given the world Radiohead, pay-what-you-can albums and promotional campaigns to help Greenpeace.
If the two end up in a fight to the death in a corn field, don't say we didn't warn you.
