September 6, 1997: Elton John Redoes "Candle in the Wind" For Princess Diana

Elton John recorded a new version of his song "Candle in the Wind" to honor the late Diana Princess of Wales. The track would become utterly inescapable, selling more than 33 million copies, ranking it as the biggest selling single of all time.
All the profits from the single were donated to the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund.
