Legendary "wall of sound" producer Phil Spector's resume took an ugly turn towards "infamous" when he was charged with murder in the shooting death of Lana Clarkson at his mansion a year before. Spector's peculiar statements from the shooting suggested that Clarkson's death was an "accidental suicide" and that she "kissed the gun."
Spector would eventually be found guilty in 2009 after lengthy legal proceedings, including one mistrial.
