September 15, 2004: Johnny Ramone Died From Prostate Cancer at 55

Ramones guitarist Johnny Ramone -- known on his birth certificate John William Cummings -- died in Los Angeles after a five-year battle with prostate cancer. An original member of The Ramones, after his death Pearl Jam wrote the song "Life Wasted" in his honor. Nicholas Cage also dedicated his remake of The Wicker Man to Ramone... although in hindsight that might be more of an insult.
