A drunken man named Danny Sullivan was charged with assault causing bodily harm when he crawled up from underneath the stage at the Toronto edition of the V Festival, then tackled Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher, breaking three of his ribs and forcing Oasis to cancel a number of shows.
The judge eventually sentenced Sullivan to 12 months house arrest and forbid him to drink alcohol during that period. Gallagher's legal team was originally pushing for a six months sentence, but because Sullivan had no previous criminal record and showed remorse, he got the lighter penalty.
