After a lengthy fight over unpaid rent, legendary New York punk club CBGB closed. The last week the club was opened featured a number of big name acts like Bad Brains, The Dictators, Blondie and Bouncing Souls all performing sets at the influential punk and new wave club.
The last set ever played at CBGB was by Patti Smith. The club's owner Hilly Kristal died from lung cancer less than a year later in August 2007.
