38. Zeus, 'Busting Visions'
With obvious nods to late-era Beatles, Thin Lizzy and Steely Dan, Zeus may not be breaking any new ground sonically. But with their mustache powers combined, damned if these Torontonians didn't put out one of the year's most joyful albums: An endlessly listenable collection of sing-along throwback jams showcasing their airtight harmonies, fuzzy classic rock licks and nimble bass work from the Derek Small-eque Carlin Nicholson. Busting Visions puts the group's impressive chops on full display, with infectious results. -- Adam Horne
