WORST Eric Clapton -- 'Unplugged'
Reprise
While Eric Clapton's Unplugged has made its share of best lists thanks no doubt, to an impassioned delivery of "Tears in Heaven," there's a case to be made that Clapton's MTV appearance was, as pop culture critic Chuck Klosterman would say, "boringly proficient." It's technically excellent, because Clapton is an insanely gifted guitarist -- but it's not exactly remarkable, either, which makes it a shame. And, real talk: this version of "Layla" = Zzzzzz.
