This acoustic EP features skeletal versions of tracks from Metric's Juno Award-winning 2009 album Fantasies. Emily Haines and James Shaw had recorded several songs acoustically during the filming of their documentary The Rawside of Metric and fans were eager to hear the cuts in a complete release. While there's not a bad song in the bunch, the most dramatically different version is "Gimme Sympathy," which trades its electric counterpart's bombast for bare-bones intimacy.
