8) Okkervil River -- American Airlines (2012)

Austin group Okkervil River suffered some problems with American Airlines and an associate company in August when singer Will Sheff's luggage and gear went missing. According to Diffuser, the items ended up to Dallas instead of Austin and left the sextet waiting for the possessions. Things got a bit worse though, with Sheff tweeting "was told @AmericanAir would call for a delivery & would hand off in person. They dumped it all on the street & someone drove by and swiped it." The items were not actually stolen, but dropped off in the wrong place and located and returned intact. "What's funny about all this is that I'm not sure I could have gotten the same attn without Twitter. So thanks for helping me get my shit!" Sheff tweeted.
