In January 2012, legendary guitarist Peter Frampton's new year got much happier with news of a guitar he lost 30 years ago being found in the Caribbean. Spinner reported Frampton's 1954 Les Paul Custom guitar was on a cargo plane heading to Panama when it crashed back in 1980. The guitar -- used on his iconic Frampton Comes Alive effort -- became an adventure for two longtime fans who investigated its whereabouts. The instrument was located on the Dutch island of Curaco with the tourist board joining the two fans to help in the search. After tracking the guitar down, it was reunited with Frampton in December 2011 and confirmed to be the original. "I know I have my guitar back, but I will never forget the lives that were lost in this crash," Frampton said in a statement.
