The KLF's 'The White Room' album was the first record from the emerging techno/electronic genre to bust out and band members Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty tried their best to make sure the acid house act remained outsiders.
Current Status: Broken up. They've released a few intermittent singles since, but the group essentially broke up after playing at the 1992 BRIT Awards, announcing "the KLF have now left the music business" from the stage and leaving a dead sheep at the front door of the Awards' after-party.
