How Goth is... Florence and the Machine?

"If I was 14, I would think that Florence was totally goth. Now I see her as too soulful -- she's got too much of a soul to be truly goth. But she has what we'd call a 'romanti-goth' thing going on. Very heavenly voice, a melancholia to her music, I think it's kind of teen girl gateway goth. She's sort of like the soundtrack to renaissance fairs. In the same way that Tori Amos was really popular with some goths, I think that Florence fits into that tradition."
